Netherlands FIFA 2010 Soccer Squad
Though in their first match of their World Cup 2010 Netherlands won the match by 2-0, they can’t be given as much credit as the score line shows. Various chances were missed childishly. In a tournament like WC, you must pay a lot in the crucial matches if you are satisfied with this type of victory. Nevertheless, I have found some positive sides in their show. One is Nigel de Jong’s tackling which kept the Danish busy several times. Van der Vaart and Van Persie showed a very good skill Playing one-two or cute volley but the Danish and especially Sorensen intercepted over and over again. On the other hand, Japan played consistently against the African tigers Cameroon. The most positive side that I noticed in Japan was their goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima who can be a name of frustration for any striker. But I will tell them, “Please, don’t miss the chance of 2nd round as you are very near to it!”
